RCAux V3 R/C Auxiliary Controller
The PowerME RCAux V3 board brings simplicity and easy R/C adaptation to any scale model for all the Auxiliaries needed. You can use any R/C (digital) commercially available system to drive the Horn, switch marker and head lights on and off - most functions operated by a switch or a button can be directly replaced by the RCAux controller.
The RCAux V3 will accept two R/C channels, with 4 outputs (2 relays per channel). Each of the outputs is user-selectable to either be momentary (only ON while you hold it, like the Horn) or Latching (activate once and it turns ON, activate again and it turns OFF, like the Headlight).
As most R/C receivers are slightly different with their output (some are even different with charged vs flat batteries) the RCAux controller will auto-calibrate to these each time it is powered on, giving trouble-free operation. In addition, two trim controls (one per channel) allow any jitter or overly-sensitive input to be filtered out, a problem on many R/C installations.
The video above uses an R/C emulator to demonstrate the operation of one of the channels on the RCAux V3.
Tech Specs:
- Two channels, Four outputs
- Outputs drive clean-contacts relays, meaning many things can be switched from the output without damage or intereference from or to the RCAux board
- Momentary (on-while-held, e.g. Horn) or Latching (on-when-pressed, then off-when-pressed, e.g. Lights)
- Run Lights, Horn, Smoke Generator - just about anything - using a standard commercially available R/C unit
- 12V powered, can supply +5V to the R/C receiver if required
